Welcome back to school LDCSS!
It is a real honour and pleasure to return to the community where I grew up to serve as principal. Let me first say that I am looking forward to re-integrating here and getting to know everyone (again, in some cases) as the year unfolds. It is our great desire here at LDCSS to serve you, our supporting community, to the best of our ability as we partner together in this journey of Christian schooling. Please feel free at any time to come in to let us know how we are doing and how we might be able to better join together. By God’s grace, we as a staff are anticipating a really terrific 50th year at LDCSS and we invite you to join in the celebrations as the calendar unfolds.
I will be writing this blog (which will be connected to the LinkED) at least every other week to give you, our wider community, some updates about things going on the school building, things coming up, perhaps some challenges that we are facing and also where we might be heading as a community of believers in Christian education.
Related to all of this, as this is my first year, I believe it is a great time for our school to take a look at what we are doing and why we are doing it so that we can collectively move forward together in a really meaningful, intentional and God-honouring way. In other words, what is working well? What could be improved? What will we focus on? What will we not focus on? What could be? If you have ideas on any of these items, please feel free to connect with me or one of our staff or board members. We would love to hear from you!
