As our collective thoughts at LDCSS turn from Semester 1 to Semester 2, we had an opportunity just before exams to spend a little time celebrating some of the really cool learning that has gone on around the building over the first semester. Many student pieces of work were on display and a morning assembly offered more opportunities to have students talk about their work.
It is really important to display, present and talk about learning. Not only is it really neat from an audience member’s perspective, but it also means that the presenter must ‘know their stuff’ in depth. Talking about learning usually demonstrates passion, pride and ownership of the learning process. Increasingly, these sorts of skills are important in our ever changing world.
Here are some pictures from the day, specifically from our Atrium where shop and geography were on display, among other classes. Also, check out the most recent edition of the the ConnectED for more. Enjoy!
