LDCSS London Ontario

The music program at LDCSS is a dynamic place for students to cultivate musical skills and use the gift of music to glorify God and bless our community. Each year, our bands and choirs participate in a number of events including the annual Christmas Concert, our spring Fine Arts Festival, and the Ontario Christian High School Choral Festival.

Our program consists of several options for both singers and instrumentalists:

Concert Choir is at the heart of the music program at LDCSS, and has been a tradition since our school’s inception. The choir is comprised of students from various grade levels and musical backgrounds, in addition to several staff members. Students also have the option to receive a half-credit for their involvement in the choir.

LDCSS Praise Teams collaborate with our school’s chapel committee to organize music and lead worship for our chapels, special assemblies, and concerts. Both our praise teams and choir also occasionally visit churches and elementary schools in London and its surrounding area.

Chamber Choir is made up of fifteen to twenty students who rehearse once a week at lunch. Students audition to be a part of this unique ensemble that often performs a cappella selections, as well as challenging pieces in several different languages

Jazz Ensemble performs at our annual school concerts, and explores music from a variety of contemporary genres, including traditional jazz standards and classic rock pieces. Our dedicated instrumentalists meet once a week, and often collaborate with other ensembles.
